CountryBalls Heroes is a released turn-based strategy game where national meme factions become armies, heroes, cities, artifacts and absurd battlefield magic. Under the comedy is a familiar strategic structure: build a base, recruit units, develop heroes and win fights through positioning, resources and timing.
What You Do
Choose a Faction
Several playable CountryBalls factions bring their own armies and stereotypes into the campaign, giving the game its distinct parody identity.
Build and Recruit
Develop cities, gather resources and train a roster of specialized units. Steam lists more than 90 unique units across the game.
Raise Heroes
Command over 30 playable heroes, collect artifacts and use them to push your army toward a specific strategy.
Cast Mems
Magic is replaced with mems: tactical effects that lean into the joke while still changing the state of a battle.
Campaign and Combat
The campaign is built around iconic CountryBalls humor and exaggerated geopolitical stereotypes. It is intentionally ridiculous, but the structure is legible: explore, gather, improve, fight and snowball into a stronger position.
Combat is turn-based and tactical. You bring a hero-led army into battle, read enemy strengths and weaknesses, then use units, mems and artifacts to swing the encounter. The joke lands because the systems underneath still ask you to make decisions.
CountryBalls Heroes works best when it treats parody as a skin over recognizable strategy: cities, armies, artifacts, heroes and tactical combat all feed the same loop.
